Visual Excursion to the History of Wesel
3D Video Mapping

Installation of a 3D video projection, which tells the history of the city on the detailed Gothic masonry of the historic town hall of Wesel

In the pre-Christmas period, the Great Market in Wesel became the city's cultural center, as it had been in the 15th century. For 3 days, the historic town hall facade became the screen for a 3D video mapping, which took the viewer on an excursion into Wesel's history. Photos, elaborate animations and spoken content told of the Hanseatic heyday, the fortifications, destruction and reconstruction, special cultural treasures and what makes the Hanseatic city special to this day. The richness of detail of the Gothic facade was optically emphasized with object-specific effects and let the elaborately restored reconstruction - the symbol of Wesel's city identity - shine.

The 3D video projection was a great spectacle! The history of the city came to life on our historic town hall facade. «
