At the opera festival at the iconic Saarpolygon, Mozart's timeless masterpiece "The Magic Flute" met innovative stage design in a spectacular multimedia production. An outstanding cultural event was realized at the central monument to mining in Saarland on the Ensdorf slag heap. The almost 30-meter-high steel sculpture became the three-dimensional highlight of the open-air stage through projection mapping. Together with a sail in the middle of the polygon, this created a gigantic projection surface that turned the performance into an immersive experience. Dynamic visualizations of snakes, fire, historical statues - precisely adapted to the architectural structure of the building - formed an impressive framework for the plot, characters and emotions.
